Dog Boarding
Regrettably I can only take friendly, well socialised, neutered dogs and spayed bitches from 6 months upwards. Dogs must be dropped off and collected at our home.
I offer a free consultation session to discuss your needs. All dogs being boarded need to be booked prior to boarding for an overnight familiarisation visit to ensure that they will be happy in our environment (this is a condition of my licence and is chargeable at normal rates). This will also help them to settle more quickly and feel happy in our home without you. In the unlikely event that they are not suitable for home boarding in our environment this will ensure that this is discovered before your departure.
I ask that you provide their usual diet and also something with the smell of home to help them settle so that they can smell you even if you are away.
Your four legged friend(s) will be truly incorporated into family life with appropriate stimulating exercise for age, fitness and energy levels. You are the experts on your dog's well being and I always welcome your input into how to make your dog's holiday a truly happy experience. The insights you give me will enable me to offer a truly bespoke service for your dog. Mental stimulation will be provided in the form of interactive games, scatter feeds, ball play, lots of toys and of course bags of human love and attention.
Understandably there will be occasions when I need to leave the family home for short periods and license conditions allow for 3 hours in a 24 hour period. Dog(s) are secured away from other animals unless they are well known to us - not crated (unless this is what they/you prefer).
I will regularly update my Adored Paws Facebook page with pictures to give you added reassurance that your canine family member(s) are having the time of their life so you can get on with having a brilliant, relaxing time!

Doggy Home Daycare Session
Doggy daycare runs from Tuesday to Thursday from 9.30am-2.30pm.
I will pick up your dog from your home in the morning from about 8.30am (dependent on traffic, number of pick ups etc) and meet up with doggy friends at home. Daycare dogs are covered by my boarding licence and will therefore co-mingle with my resident dogs and any boarders.
Dogs will have a long, country walk away from main roads and we will follow a different route each day. Once home (after the initial excitement of seeing their friends dies down) we will have a little down time and bonding and then it is playtime. Your dog will benefit from company, love and cuddles throughout the day but also the opportunity to just chill so that they still have just enough energy to greet you with joy when you return home. They will really benefit from the extra socialisation with other friendly dogs. If they want time out, I have a quiet area where they can throw up zzzs and snooze dreaming of squirrel catching and rabbit chasing! Play is stimulating using interactive games, scatter games, lots of toys and of course, the doggy favourite, playing and bonding with others.
I will drop dogs home in the afternoon from 2.30 onwards, clean and dry and check water etc before I leave them waiting in anticipation for their family's return!
Photos of their exciting day will be uploaded to my Facebook page. I will feed back any issues or concerns directly eg dog didn't seem themselves.
Home Pet Care Visits
I believe most small pets are much happier in their own home whilst their humans are away. My home care visits take place in the early morning (before 9am) and late afternoon to ensure that feeds are spread evenly during the day mimicking most animals' normal routine.
I will visit your home in my unmarked car - removing magnetic advertising strips (I don't want to let anyone know you are away) and will feed, give medication if required, change litter, clean out cages etc and give your pet lots of cuddles and love (should they want it). I am also happy to collect up post and open and close curtains, turn lights on and off etc to provide extra security whilst you are away. If you leave house plants grouped together I am also happy to water those too!
Just discuss what you need at your free home visit consultation and I will endeavor to do my best to help! I am DBS (criminal record checked) and have key cover insurance which should give you peace of mind that your house, as well as your pet, is in safe hands.
This is a much more cost effective solution for cat owners than using a cattery as I will look after 3 cats for the same price. Your pet(s) will be happier in their own home and you will have the peace of mind knowing that someone is keeping an eye on the house whilst you are not there. I will regularly update my Adored Paws Pet Services Facebook page with pictures so that you are reassured that your pets are thriving and so that you can fully enjoy your time away without those nagging pangs of guilt.
